All routine appointments are being postponed

Posted on March 17th, 2020

Dear Patients,

Following the Government’s Coronavirus update yesterday,

Because we are going to need all available resources to  help managing the pandemic, we are postponing all routine face to face appointments indefinitely  for the time being, as long as it is safe to do so.

Please see below for current official advice:

All people are being asked to avoid unnecessary social contact, and people in vulnerable groups (over 70s or chronic illness, i.e. in a seasonal flu vaccine category) to take particular pains to avoid social contacts. It is suggested that people work from home if possible.

  • if you have symptoms (temperature and a new, persistent cough), stay at home for 7 days
  • if you live with other people, they should stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms

If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days.

If you have to stay at home together, try to keep away from each other as much as possible.

Read our advice about staying at home.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind Regards,
