Flu and Covid Vaccinations – Autumn 2025

Posted on September 5th, 2025

The seasonal vaccination programme begins shortly, and we strongly recommend those eligible to get vaccinated for both COVID-19 and Flu. We will be holding clinics on Saturday mornings throughout October starting on Saturday 4 October. Further dates for November and December will be announced in due course.

You can book your vaccinations from today through the National Booking Service, either online or via telephone. Please do not call reception as they will be unable to book an appointment.

Book Online

Please use this link to book a Flu and / or COVID Vaccine, or if you ONLY want a COVID jab, please use this link.

Book over the phone

You can call 119 free of charge to book over the phone if you cannot book online. You can speak to a translator if you need to.

If you have difficulties communicating or hearing

You can use textphone 18001 or the NHS 119 British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter service if you have difficulties communicating or hearing, or if you are a BSL user.

They include:

  • everyone aged 65 years and over
  • everyone under 65 years of age who has a medical condition listed below, including children and babies over 6 months of age
  • all pregnant women, at any stage of pregnancy
  • all children aged 2 and 3 years (provided they were aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August before flu vaccinations starts in the autumn)
  • all children in primary school
  • some secondary school-aged children (Years 7 to 11)
  • everyone living in a residential or nursing home
  • everyone who receives a carer’s allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person
  • all those living with someone who has lowered immunity due to disease or treatment
  • all frontline health and social care workers

For advice and information about flu vaccination, speak to your GP, practice nurse, pharmacist or school immunisation team.

It is best to have your flu vaccination in the autumn or early winter before flu rates increase. Remember that you need it every year, so don’t assume you are protected because you had one last year.

Check NHS.UK for information on whether you are eligible.

Who should have the COVID-19 vaccine

You can get the winter COVID-19 vaccine if you:

  • are aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2026)
  • are aged 6 months to 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
  • live in a care home for older adults

You may be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine if you have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment.

This can include if you:

  • have or had blood cancer, such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma
  • have had an organ transplant, bone marrow transplant or stem cell transplant
  • have HIV
  • have a genetic disorder that affects your immune system, such as severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID)
  • are having or recently had chemotherapy, biological therapy or radiotherapy
  • are taking steroid medicine (depending on the dose)
  • are having long-term immunosuppressive treatment for a condition such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), scleroderma or psoriasis

This list is a summary and does not include everything. Please speak to your GP if you’re not sure if you’re eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
