Flu clinics 2020

Dear patients,

We are pleased to announce our Flu 2020 clinic dates below.  However, to keep everyone safe and ensure the clinics run as efficiently as possible, please observe the following when coming in for a flu vaccine:

• Do not come in if you have COVID19 symptoms or are self-isolating
• Wear a mask
• COME ON TIME. This is crucial to enable social distancing in the waiting room
• If you arrive early, please wait outside the health centre.
• On arrival to the surgery, sign in stand on the next available flu clinic spot
• Remove any outer clothing and roll up your sleeve
• Book a telephone appointment or use e-consult if you have an issue you’d like to discuss
• Do not stop at reception. Please come back at a later time.

Those eligible to receive flu vaccine are among the following:

• Everyone over the age of 65 years.
• Children of school age
• Patients who are currently pregnant
• Registered carers.
• Usually anyone with any of these chronic diseases
• Asthma (only if on inhaled steroid medication) or other chronic lung disease ( e.g. COPD).
• Cardio-vascular disease, previous stroke or TIA.
• Diabetes
• Chronic Liver disease
• Chronic Kidney disease
• Neurological disease ( MS, Parkinson’s)

Adults’ only clinics

• Under 65’s  28th October 5.30 pm -6.30 pm
• Over 65’s – 13th and 14th October – 10.30-12.30 am

Children’s Flu clinics

• 5th October 11 am -12.10 pm
• 13th October 3.30-4.15 pm
• 21st  October 3.45-5.15 pm
