Flu Vaccine Season 2019

The following clinics are by appointment only. Please book an appointment with Reception.

  •     Tuesday 17th   September 10:00-12:30
  •     Thursday 19th September 14:00-16:15
  •     Wednesday 25th September 15:15-17:15
  •     Saturday 28th September 08:30-11:00 am – DROP IN CLINIC
  •     Monday 30th September 16:00-17;45 

Patients who use the car service can attend the treatment room during the car service slots as usual.

Children requiring flu vaccine are encouraged to book an appointment with the practice nurse from the 3rd week of October.

Those eligible to receive flu vaccine are among the following:

Everyone over the age of 65 years.

Patients who are currently pregnant

Registered carers.

Usually anyone with any of these chronic diseases

Asthma (only if on inhaled steroid medication) or other chronic lung disease( e.g. COPD).

Cardio-vascular disease, previous stroke or TIA.

Diabetes

Chronic Liver disease

Chronic Kidney disease

Neurological disease ( MS,Parkinson’s)

Immunosuppression (previous spleen removal or organ transplant; drugs for rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease that need regular blood tests, current or planned  chemotherapy, HIV, long term steroid treatment).
